IZARRA GREEN | Basque Liqueur
IZARRA is an iconic liqueur from the Basque Country, IZARRA Verte or IZARRA Jaune, each to their own!
IZARRA means “star” in Basque.
We offer you the green IZARRA to be consumed plain on ice or as a base to prepare a Basque cocktail. The IZARRA Verte liqueur is appreciated for its intense freshness with its touch of peppermint.
IZARRA COCKTAIL
Izarra Lemon Cocktail:
Ingredients :
- 2.5 cl of IZARRA Green liqueur
- Schweppes lemon
- Crushed ice
- A slice of lime
The Izarra Limon cocktail is made with green Izarra and topped with a dash of Schweppes lemon.
Green Star Cocktail:
Ingredients :
- 2.5 cl of IZARRA Green liqueur
- Grapefruit juice
- Ice
- A slice of lime
The Green Star Cocktail is made with Green Izarra and shaken with grapefruit juice and ice. Served in a tumbler glass with a lime wedge.
Basque Mojito Cocktail at L’IZarra:
Ingredients :
- 2.5 cl of IZARRA Green liqueur
- 2 tsp cane sugar
- 6 mint leaves
- sparkling water
- Crushed ice
- ½ lime
As for a traditional mojito, put a few fresh mint leaves in a glass. Add the lime wedges with the sugar, top up with crushed ice. Pour the Izarra and top up with sparkling water. Mix everything together and enjoy!
