Cocktail idea:

Here is a simple cocktail idea that will transport your Basque Egiazki pastis to the Caribbean. The "pastisito" is a nod to the famous Mojito. All you need to do is mix 5 cl of Basque pastis, 2.5 cl of white rum, 2 cl of squeezed lime, a drop of cane sugar, crushed ice and. Top it all up with sparkling Ogeu water, we're staying local... and a few sprigs of fresh mint. You're now ready for the hot summer evenings in the Basque Country.

PREPARATION OF THIS ARTISANAL BASQUE PASTIS

First Basque Pastis to be produced by hand in the Basque Country. The production of this Basque pastis is done by hand with the infusion of star anise and the maceration of organic liquorice.

HISTORY OF THE EGIAZKI HOUSE

In 2013, Camille and Benjamin Fourt Arteaga, young twins from Saint Pée sur Nivelle in the Basque Country, created one of the first Patxarans in the Northern Basque Country. Almost all Patxarans are produced in the Southern Basque Country, particularly in Navarre. A few years later, they offer us this artisanal Basque pastis which is already finding its place in the best bars in France and Navarre.
