Artisanal patxaran from the province of Gipuzkoa produced in Errenteria between San Sebastian and Irun.

History of Patxaran Olañeta:

At the beginning of July 1936, a nephew of José Luis Olañeta Múgica, Pedro Echeverría Olañeta, owner of a farm in Ubera (Elgeta), gave him some sloes harvested in the mountains of Intxortas (Gipuzkoa), telling him about their properties. When José Luis returned to the factory, he macerated them, some in Cognac (Brandy did not exist at that time) and others in Anisette.
