OHITZA wine from Irouleguy is made from Tannat 50%, Cabernet Franc 30%, Cabernet-Sauvignon 20% grape varieties.
DEVELOPMENT
Hand-picked. Total destemming. Fermentation at 28°C. Vatting for 15 to 20 days. Aging in wine barrels for 12 months.
TERROIR
The soil is composed of Triassic micaceous sandstone.SITUATION
The Brana estate covers 20 hectares in the communes of Ispoure, Bussunaritz and Lecumberry. The vineyard is planted 70% in narrow terraces on slopes with an average gradient of 65%.
