THE STORY BEHIND THIS WINE:
8A Moscato de OCHOA MdO was born in Adriana's mind during a trip to Italy, where she discovered the magic of Moscato d'Asti and began thinking about creating a low-alcohol sparkling wine. When Adriana returned to the estate, she decided to bring this delicacy to life.

GRAPE VARIETIES
100% Moscatel de Grano Menudo.
PRODUCTION
The grapes are destemmed, lightly crushed, and gently pressed. The free-run juice ferments naturally up to 5.5% alcohol; this allows the wine to retain the sugar naturally present in the grapes, as well as a fine effervescence derived from the carbon dioxide preserved during fermentation. It is a quality sparkling wine with no added sugar and no carbonation.
TERROIR
The vines used to produce 8A Moscato de OCHOA MdO are grown on the Finca La Milla and El Bosque plots.
LOCATION
Finca La Milla: this part of the estate covers 45 hectares where Moscatel, Viura, Chardonnay, and Merlot are grown, alongside olive trees. The clay-limestone soil is ideal for white grapes and for the red Merlot variety, which adapts wonderfully to the rockier zones, providing minerality.
Finca El Bosque (Traibuenas): 38.1 hectares of Moscatel de Grano Menudo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Garnacha. The clay-limestone soil and southern orientation ensure good sun exposure, which reduces the need for treatments in the vineyards and promotes integrated, environmentally friendly viticulture. The low level of organic matter in this soil means that yields are low.
