THE HISTORY OF THIS WINE:

After her work experience at the Yalumba winery (Australia) Adriana Ochoa fell in love with Viognier. When she returned home, she planted a small plot of Viognier, which grows beautifully in the vineyard in Traibuenas.

WINE:

8A Uvadoble is a white wine made from a blend of two grape varieties starting with V: Viognier and Viura. Hence the name: Uvadoble. Viognier of French origin and Viura are very popular and well adapted to our climate and our soil in Traibuenas, as evidenced by this dry white wine with fruity and floral aromas . The part of Viura makes the wine fresher.

TASTING

Color :

greenish-yellow color demonstrating its youth.

Nose :

Aromas of stone fruits (peach, apricot, etc.) and ripe pear, as well as floral notes.

Mouth :

Explosion of fresh, sweet fruit and perfect structure.

Service :

Consume at 10-12°C/ Drink or keep for 2/3 years.

Food and wine pairing:

Grilled white fish and white meat. Perfect with Paella, Risottos and pasta dishes. Also perfect with vegetables and salads or as an aperitif.

DEVELOPMENT

Ochoa 8A Blanca UVADOBLE is a wine that has remained on its lees for 6 months, allowing it to obtain good volume in the mouth and fruity and floral aromas.

TERROIR

The vines used to produce OCHOA 8A Blanca UVADOBLE are grown on the Finca La Milla plot.

SITUATION

Finca La Milla: This part of the estate extends over 45 hectares with the cultivation of Moscatel, Viura, Chardonnay, Merlot and olive trees. The clay-limestone soil is ideal for white grapes and for the red Merlot grape, which adapts wonderfully to the most stony areas, providing minerality.
